that being said, i feel like i'm in need of some time to play catch up, get some grocery shopping done, do some errands, do my laundry...what i'm trying to say is can it please be friday? i'm hoping i find some crazy time warp pipe in my dreams tonight and wake up and have it just be the weekend. maybe if we all wish hard enough it can come true! help me out, folks. until then, want to take a look at some pictures from my weekend? good. because that's all i've got the capacity to post right now.
this is the one semi-healthy thing i consumed on my trip to miami. it wasn't even very good (loved the tuna but the rest of it was bland) so then my dad and i ordered a cuban sandwich and fries and split that. it was much tastier.
brothers, beaches, blisters. did you know when you dip your feet into the ocean and then get sand all over your feet and THEN walk around in flip flops for miles without cleaning off the sand you get heinous blisters? well, take my word for it. you do.
in miami, they don't make small drinks. if you drink two of them you will get drunk and then you will drunk dial your boyfriend's mom and ask her about tickets for a tailgate the next day and then proceed to strike up a ten minute conversation about lord knows what. or...that's what someone told me, because obviously i'd NEVER do that.
wine flights are much more fun than just ordering one glass of wine. i don't know why i haven't done this more in the past. oh and grouper is also delicious, particularly when blackened. yum. i'm so glad i've been eating more fish lately! proud of making braver menu choices rather than just getting steak. nothing's wrong with steak but damn, fish is so good!
bad lighting does nothing to diminish the awesomeness that is my family. i missed my mom and other brother a ton but these three dudes? i just love 'em.
siblings with matching shades are the coolest.
tex does NOT normally pop his collar (or obviously i would not be dating him) but the poor guy was so sunburned he was doing everything he could to hide his skin from the floridian rays. he deserves it though because he refused to re-apply despite his mother's advice. i only got to see tex briefly at two of the tailgates before the game but it was great to spend some time with him when i wasn't necessarily expecting to.
ahhh, the brief moments before the game began where we naively thought notre dame wasn't going to get their asses beat. do you SEE the hope in our eyes?! we were mildly broken hearted for the remainder of the night but i don't regret the trip for a second, their season was truly so much fun to be a part of as a fan and i can't wait for football season next year.
that's all i got, treats. get on that warp pipe thing.
<3
Ahhhhhhh this is my upcoming weekend too and I couldn't be more excited haha...definitely wishing tomorrow turns out to be friday...let's just sleep for 2 days ok? And that part about drinks and calling tex's mom...seriously fell off the couch laughing...love it and you to pieces!!!

ReplyDeleteAlso, can I just say that you blend in really well with the boys in your first picture? I did a double take for sure. You're awesome. Can't wait to crash your date with Caitlin in a few weeks.
Sometimes, no matter how "healthy" you try to be, you just need some good french fries. Am I right? ;)
ReplyDeleteI actually thought of you when I saw the game. Poor ND! I just don't know what happened to them. It was like they never showed up =( =(
ReplyDeleteBut enough sad talk... Those margaritas look heavenily!! Nothing wrong with consuming 1.2. or even 3. Hey your on vacation =)
drool. that tuna, gosh. I am so happy you had a great time despite a loss. Drink it up in Miami... I guess I forgive you for no picture with you know who. I will cry later
ReplyDeleteHaha, love everything about this post. Glad you had a fun time in Miami even if Notre Dame lost. At least you had the super sized alcohol portions to brighten your mood! ;)
ReplyDeleteYou're a beauty, and I love that your heart was full of love while you were in such a fabulous place. It always makes happiness burst through my body to see that my friends are in happy places. xo
